Campgrounds & RV Parks. South Carolina's lush forests, beautiful coastline and rolling hills are chock-full of scenic campgrounds and RV parks. Find the perfect place to set up camp on your next South Carolina adventure. Scotts Flat Campground is on the north shore of Scotts Flat Lake, 9 miles east of Nevada City. The 2-mile long lake is popular for all kinds of recreation from waterskiing and wakeboarding to swimming and fishing. Steady afternoon breezes make the lake a favorite with local sailors. Kayaks and standup paddleboards are often seen on the lake. Schott’s Lake RV & Guest Ranch is a natural Canadian paradise that boasts its own 20 acre private, spring fed lake, the “MIKE APPROVED” Ranch House Restaurant, newly renovated motel rooms, event facilities, seasonal rustic cabins and a recreational campground. Flush toilets, warm showers, some electric and full-hookup campsites. Address: 410 Park Road, Elverson, PA 19520. The large campground is open from March through the first weekend in January. The campsites are within easy access to shower and modern restroom facilities. Our full hookup camping sites, rental campers, cabins, shower house, restrooms, museum and camp store are closed for the season. Primitive dry camping is still be available, please call our office to make a reservation. Our office will remain open Monday-Friday 10 am - 3 pm to answer phone calls and emails.
The Scott AFB Fam Camp is located at the Scott Lake Recreation area (base access needed), nestled among the trees providing lots of shade in the summer, and looking over the two base fishing lakes. The Fam Camp has 20 RV campsites, each with water and electric hookups. Restrooms, showers, laundry, and a sewage dump station are available to use.
Cost per night for RV's campers using a space is $20.00. Rustic tent camping is allowed anywhere around the lake area (except in the pavilion areas) at a cost of $10.00 per night, per tent. A dry-camp overflow area is also available at $10.00 per night; max capacity 2 campers, first come first served.
Campsites
Each site is allowed only one camping unit and one towing vehicle. All structures other than those which are standard for the RV must be be approved by the ODR director. Please keep mats off the grass and no vehicle parking on grass between campsites.
Quiet Hours
11 p.m. to 7 a.m. are the camp's quiet hours. Generators must not be operated at night.
Pets
We welcome your family pets, but they must be on a leash or inside the trailer at all times. Please clean up after your pet and put them inside at night. Do not leave unattended. NO FENCES OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED. Pets are not allowed in the restrooms or the laundry. Pets must be current with all shots and licenses.
Reservations
Reservations to be made 30 days or less prior to date of check-in. Call ODR or come in person.
Cancellations
Any cancellations or modifications to your reservation must be made 48 hours or more before the start of your reservation period. Cancellations or modifications made inside the 48 hour window are not eligible for reimbursement. Cancellation due to military commitment will be refunded 100%; you must show memorandum or proof of orders.

One night forms and drop box is currently available on Bulletin Board at the entrance to FamCamp. No parking on grass, additional parking may be available near Bathhouse. Fires allowed only in Grill Grates, do not build fire rings. Base Fishing Permit required for Scott Lakes, purchase from ODR during business hours. Illinois State Permit not required.
